Hi, folks!

Waves tide

weather cloudIt’s 57F and completely overcast, which they’re saying might persist today. There’s some breeze, but it’s coming and going, not constant.

plant motif hyacinth flowerI rushed out the door yesterday and then ran back in for the harvesting basket. I had more little yellow pear tomatoes and a lot of roses, still, but I 092615 Sage 1didn’t worry over anything else. I got most of the way open (there are still a few things I can’t move on my own.) and set to work with processing the herbs. Eventually Tempus got to the shop and we worked out which errands he needed to run and he took off again.

>>>>>> Sage, freshly harvested >>>>>>

plant motif immortelle flowerBy that point I was starting to sew and work on some of the other projects and I went from one thing to another all day, never getting to either 092615 Sage5herb wall or crystals, which really need some attention.

Marius was there in the evening for Sewing and Tempus finally got back. I got some work done on boxes at that point.

>>>>> sage, dried, being crumbled >>>>>

plant motif iris flower 092615 BasilSageToday I need to go to the doctor. I have a blocked-up ear and I can’t hear at all. Other than that I’m supposed to meet with some folks about the February event. Tempus will be at the shop although we may be switching places for a bit while he gets his stuff sorted out.

Ivy Gort Celtic tree month Hedera_helixGort  Ivy  Sep 30 – Oct 27 – Gort – (GORT), ivy – Ivy (Hedera helix L.) is also a vine, growing to 30 m (100 feet) long in beech woods and around human habitations, where it is widely planted as a ground cover. Ivy produces greenish flowers before Samhain on short, vertical shrubby branches. The leaves of these flowering branches lack the characteristic lobes of the leaves of the rest of the plant. Like holly, ivy is evergreen, its dark green leaves striking in the bare forests of midwinter. Ivy is widely cultivated in North America. It is a member of the Ginseng family (Araliaceae).

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both. – François-René de Chateaubriand
